Job Summary

WRG is a family-owned commercial, healthcare, and education sector furniture dealer located in Carrollton, TX that is committed to finding highly motivated professionals with the passion to learn and grow in the company. The Logistics Coordinator will support a high-volume, fast-paced team and report to the Manager of Installation and Logistics. This role will be responsible for reporting on a range of metrics that directly impact project costs and receiving activity. Sustaining quality metrics will ensure the incoming product is accounted for in a timely fashion. A successful candidate will be able to wear multiple hats with the ability to work through daily challenges as an agile problem solver. The coordinator will focus on improving processes for more cost-efficient methods of product management. The Logistics Coordinator will be a polished communicator with vendors and internal teams as a reliable resource in the successful completion of projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage product delivery schedules, prepare receiving forecast for inbound product, research and resolve delayed shipments, and outstanding “punch” issues
  • Report daily receiving activity and shipping information into business system CORE
  • Work closely with warehouse technicians to plan for inbound shipments
  • Track and approve time sheets of recorded labor, create purchase orders for subcontractor labor, and ensure work orders are closed out in CORE in a timely manner  
  • Analyze trends in time review, identify opportunities for improvement within scheduled labor and actual labor completed
  • Prepare and maintain customer and internal reports, noting trends and actionable items.
  • Works closely with Project Managers & Installation Supervisors to reconcile labor cost/hours.
  • Maintain customer compliance requirements for on-site badging access.

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge of warehouse distribution, receiving, logistics processes preferably in furniture or retail industry
  • High School Diploma required
  • 2-4 years of experience in data entry, project management, and/or implementation
  • Work along other employees in the production, packing, unpacking and whatever else needs to be done to run a tight operation.
  • Strong data entry skills/background.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate others
  • Intermediate Excel experience and the ability to generate reports.
  • Ability to work within order processing systems CORE, knowledge of SAP/ERP software is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
